On Monday 19th February Seu-uh Sooay made their first ever appearance on Thai TV, taking part in a contest for amateur foreign talent singing Thai songs produced by Channel 5's Bunlung Dao (Throne of Stars) program. Judges included well-known Thai TV personalities, Swedish Look Toong singer Jonas and celebrity transexual Mah On Na Pa. In an afternoon and evening recording session that went from the bizarre to the ridiculous to the plain unbelievable, the band took a troop of silk-suited weight-lifting monkeys, a kimono-clad panda-rapping geisha boy and a host of other international novelty talent in their stride as against all odds they clawed back from a poor studio audience vote, winning the hearts of the judges and earning a trip upstairs to the Throne of Stars, where young Richard in his haste to grace the royal seat with his rear end almost sent the whole thing careering over the edge into a 3 metre deep backstage abyss!
